Where did my happy all day, sleep all night baby go?

Just a little vent...

Prior to this weekend, Emma was sleeping 10-12 hours per night and taking 2-3 one to two hour naps per day. It was wonderful!! Then, Thursday happened. We had her 6 month check up on Thursday afternoon. She was a happy camper all afternoon despite receiving shots at her appointment. Thursday night, she was a little fussy but nothing out of the ordinary. She decided to have a party in her crib early Friday morning (around 3 am). She developed a fever later that morning, assuming from the shots and possibly from the teething that's going on. Since then, she's been uber fussy and had a fever off and on, reaching 101.5 F at one point. I figure it's her teething because she's been chomping on anything she can grab ahold of (including her dr's finger, haha)! She's also been waking up every night since Friday night at 2, 3, and 4 am before waking up for the day around 6:30 or so. It stinks...plain and simple.

I'm tired, I'm crabby, and I have to go to the dentist in an hour. I hate the dentist. I haven't been in a little over a year (thanks to bed rest during pregnancy and difficulty finding childcare with no family nearby). I'm nervous I may have a cavity. I heard women often have cavities soon after having a child, especially if you're nursing. Apparently, nursing rips the calcium from your body to give to the baby. Great. Oh, and I'm also going to a brand new dentist I've never met because my husband's insurance changed. Fantastic. And....I have to drop off my cranky, "I don't want to nap today" baby at my friend's (who has a 3 month old of her own!) house while I'm at the appointment.

I want my happy baby back who sleeps all night. Please?!
