What has little Emma been doing this month?
- We don't have your 2 month dr's appointment until Feb. 2nd but I think you'll be just over 12 lbs and 23 inches long. (At your appointment, you were 12 lbs 4 oz and 22 1/2 inches.)
- You are wearing 0-3 month clothing and are finally filling them out! Some are even getting snug already!
- You are in size one diapers. We're still using Huggies, Luvs, and Target brand. We tried Pampers again, the sensitive kind this time. Yup, you still get a rash so we won't be using those again!
- You are sleeping in 6-7 hour stretches, waking to eat around 5 am. You usually go back to sleep for about 2 more hours (on a good day!).
- You LOVE to talk when you're laying on your baby gym and on your changing table.
- You have learned to appreciate a good bath! You hate getting out of the water though...it's too cold!
- You sat through your first Baby Einstein DVD -- Mozart!
- You sat in your Bumbo seat for the first time at 6 weeks. You're doing a great job holding your head up while in the seat!
- You are holding your head up better but we still need to work on tummy time. You hate tummy time with a passion. It's quite the traumatic experience for you, miss drama queen.
- You fall asleep best at night when you are swaddled and your sleep sheep is playing the ocean waves.
- You started noticing the toys hanging above your bouncer and really enjoy talking to them now.
- You have started grabbing at objects. You love to grab onto mommy's hair and her shirts. You're starting to grasp your rattles and some other little toys as well.
- You discovered the mobile hanging above your crib. You love to stare at it and sing along with the music!
- You smiled for the first time at 5 weeks on December 29th but you just started smiling at mommy on Monday, January 24th (exactly 2 months) without any type of coaxing. You are so adorable when you stare up at me and smile like crazy. It just melts my heart!
- We occasionally hear little giggles from you! You do it more in your sleep. You must have some silly dreams! :-)
