11 Months

I'm going to have a one year old in 4 weeks...4 weeks...4 weeks...ohmylanta...

I'm not sure I really want to focus on Emma being 11 months old because it means we're that much closer to having a one year old in the house! Emma continues to grow and change daily. She is my best little buddy and I am loving her big personality that shines brighter all the time. I'm having a little bit of baby fever right now because I'm just so in love with her! I keep having to remind myself that the time will come when we're better prepared for a new baby. Now is not the right time for us so instead, I'm living vicariously through my newly pregnant pals. :-) If I happen to announce a new pregnancy in the next six to nine months, it will be just as much a surprise for us as it is for all of you! Now, on to some facts about Emma's eleventh month!
  • You are 20 lbs and around 29 inches long.
  • You are wearing 12 month clothing and I think you're going to be in them for at least a few more months!
  • We are very close to moving up to size 4 Target diapers.
  • You are cruising all over the place and starting to climb up, on, over, and through whatever you feel like. :-)
  • We installed the baby gate on the stairs because you finally figured out how to crawl up them!
  • You've discovered cabinets and get into them whenever possible.
  • You're getting better at eating finger foods. You don't like veggies, unless they're puree'd. We're working on it!
  • You can say baby, mama, and dada...and I swear you say "moo" whenever I show you a cow or sing "Old MacDonald."
  • You have 5 teeth with number 6 almost through!
  • You play SO well by yourself!
  • We switched out your infant car seat for the convertible seat, and you're doing so well in it.
  • Your feet finally grew! You grew two sizes in a month, and are now a 3.5 wide.
  • You are back to taking two naps most days. I'm enjoying the peace while I can!
  • That first morning smile from you is my absolute favorite part of the day. :-)
