Happy 3 Months Emma!

Happy 3 months Emma!! You are blossoming into an incredible, beautiful little lady. I know you're only 3 months old but you seem like such a big girl now! I look forward to this month as I've heard you notice a huge change from 3 to 4 months. I look forward to you learning to play more independently with toys, seeing you bounce around in your jumperoo and maybe even move into your exersaucer! You make me smile every day, even when I first wake up to your early morning calls for attention! I love to "talk" with you and "sing" with you. Mommy loves you so very much!!

Here are some facts about you this month:

• You are a little over 13 lbs and I think you may be about 23 1/2 inches long.
• You are in size 2 diapers. We still use Huggies and Luvs.
• You are wearing mostly 0-3 month clothing but we're getting very close to the 3-6 month size! You're not quite there in length but are quickly approaching in weight.
• Your hair is growing longer on top and it's coming in blond!
• Your eyes are still beautiful, big, and blue!
• You love to hear Mommy and Daddy sing "Old MacDonald." You always smile and giggle at our silly animal noises.
• You visited Pennsylvania for the first time on February 18, 2011. You met many cousins, aunts, and uncles for the first time. You slept much of the 11 hours we spent in the car on the drive up!
• You are taking one bottle per day right now (11:30 am feeding) and I plan to have you mostly weaned by 6 months. I may still keep your bedtime feeding because it's such a special time between you and I!
• You slept in your crib for the first time on February 11, 2011 and did a great job!! You usually sleep from 9-5:30 and then for 2 more hours after eating.
• You are so content during bath time and you love to stare at yourself in the mirror and splash your feet in the water.
• You take a few naps a day though you always sleep longer if I let you sleep in my arms rather than in your crib.
• You're able to grab onto your toys now!  You have a good grip for such a little girl!
• You LOVE your grammie and grandpa! Grammie can always make you smile and you love sitting in Grandpa's lap when he talks silly to you!
• You found your hands and love to suck on them. It's the cutest thing!
• You love your pacifier and it's your go-to when you're fussy.
• We still swaddle you for bed but leave your arms out. You're doing so well!
• You still dislike tummy time but you will tolerate it for a little while.
• You have adorable dimples!
• You seem to be almost too big for your bouncy seats. Your little feet are starting to hang over the edge!
• I think you have a fear of elephants! You stick your bottom lip out and cry every time you see a stuffed one!
• You love being in the buff. :-)
